Timer Module with Event Logger

Timer Module with EventLogger

The level crossing gates at present are all manually operated. The negligence of rules from some gate men has been a cause of accidents. To prevent these accidents and negligence, some level of check has to be brought in the level crossing gates. There is a need for devices to be installed at the level crossing to provide a timer based release mechanism of the gate and data logging of the events in the LC Gate.

  • 5 SP contact input data logging in the system
  • Surge Protection from input power supply (36 to 90V).
  • Potential Free Contacts to Monitor Relay Status
  • Data Communication and transfer of events logged to the external device through BLE/Bluetooth/RS232
  • The over voltage and under voltage event logged and send alerts
  • Level Crossing Gate Timer Control
  • Event Monitoring
  • Relay Room Monitoring

Front End Processor - Inputs & Outputs:

  • 5 channel input data logging in the system
  • Relay Based output Mechanism to Control the key
    1. Two parallel relays
    • To take care of any redundancy features
  • Emergency Override
    • In case if this signal is activated, the circuit will revert to a FAIL-SAFE mode of operation.
    • Fail Safe mechanism to release the gate in case the relays fail to release the key
    • This event will get logged and send alerts
    • This will be an external feature. Not related to the LC Gate Module.
  • LEDs
    • Showing the different modes of operation
  • Power Supply taken from the 24V DC power input line
  • The system will have to work with 12 Hours power backup.

Power Supply

  • Power Supply taken from the 24V DC power input line
  • Surge Protection from input power supply (36 to 90V)
  • Isolated Power supply
  • Onboard battery – to take care of intermittent power failures (Optional)

Time Delay

  • Programmable Jumper Based Key Release Mechanism
  • The delay duration can be selected from any one of the following 3 settings
    • 30 sec
    • 60 sec
    • 120 sec
    • This will be selectable, through a 3 position switch.
    • This switch will be mounted inside the enclosure

    Data logger

    • To support totally 5 inputs(Potential Free contact)
      • Potential Free Contacts to Monitor Relay Status
    • Analog Input to Monitor Power Supply
      • The analog data will be logged in steps of 0.5V
      • The over voltage and under voltage event logged and send alerts
    • The data will be sampled at the occurrence of every event
    • Data logger configuration through Bluetooth/Mobile/RS-232
      • Mobile Number Configuration(15 numbers)
      • PF contact configuration (5 PF)
      • GateID configuration
    • Data back-up with built-in RTC (Real Time Clock) for storing the records
    • Based on time stamping
      • The data will be stored in its onboard memory
    • For a minimum period of 3 months
      • The data will be stored on FIFO based approach
      • Onboard battery – to take care of intermittent power failures
    • Up-to 2 days of event logging

    Data Transfer& Handheld

    • Data Communication and transfer of events logged to the external device through BLE
    • A suitable Handheld device with the associated software
    • The required data exchange will be through the BLE interface
    • To obtain the logged event data through the handheld device at time periods fixed by the customer
    • RS232 interface, will be provided, as optional interface as an alternate provision
