MODBUS to NB-IoT Adapter
The MODBUS to NB-IoT Adapter uses NB-IoT technology to send the data to the cloud. NB-IoT is the Low Power Wide Area Network (LPWAN) radio technology standard developed by 3GPP. The Adapter combines the advantages of low cost, long battery life, and high connection density of NB-IoT with those of the ubiquitous industrial communication standard MODBUS. The converter collects the data from MODBUS(RTU) slave device and sends to the cloud through NB-IoT.
With 3GPP’s NB-IoT and LTE-M expected to be part of 5G Standard, NBIoT will coexist with other 5G components, and the MODBUS to NBIoT Adapter will find many 5G IoT usecases.
